Magnum Builders was founded in 1983 by Douglas W. Baltzer with a simple vision: build a company known for quality workmanship, integrity, and accountability.
What began as a light commercial and custom residential contractor quickly evolved into one of Southwest Florida's most respected commercial construction firms.
In 1988, Michael L. Baltzer joined the company as Vice President and expanded Magnum Builders into the public construction market. That strategic direction established relationships with local governments, municipalities, school districts, and public agencies that continue to define our business today.
The company's leadership continued to grow with the addition of Clint Riley in 2009, bringing extensive expertise in Construction Management and Preconstruction Services before becoming Vice President and Partner in 2014. In 2021, Ralph Abela joined Magnum Builders, contributing decades of civil and vertical construction experience before becoming Vice President and Partner in 2025.
