Sarasota Bradenton International Airport - Public Restrooms

The project consisted of the demolition and renovations of all (18) of the public restrooms in the airport. The project was broken into (9) phases to allow two sets of restrooms to be completed at a time before starting with the next set of restrooms. Restrooms were located on both the secured side and unsecured side of the airport. Each phase had to be substantially completed and approved by the airport before we could start on the next phase which was like having (9) separate projects wrapped into one. The project included terrazzo flooring, custom casework, water-jet custom wall tile, new drywall (walls & ceilings), toilet partitions, toilet accessories, new electrical fixtures, and all new plumbing fixtures including all required plumbing re-work for the new layout.

The Restroom Renovation project was funded by a Federal F.A.A. Grant in which required (DBE) participation goals and Davis-Bacon Wages in which Magnum Builders met all goals and had no issues with the certified payroll requirements. We had to provide temporary walls and barricades to separate our workers from the general public for safety and security reasons. All work had to be done without any interruptions to the daily airport activities. Magnum Builders was successful without any security or safety incidents on this project.
